The Black and Decker CTO7100B Rotisserie Convection Toaster Oven is a nice counter top appliance to have in your kitchen. With this toaster oven, you can make healthy meals for the family. The built in rotisserie roasts meats allowing the excess fat to run off. Then the convection feature saves time as it does faster faster and more even cooking.
Other buttons are: Rotisserie, Bake, Broil, Toast, and Convection. There is also the Start/Stop button. The timer can be set from 1 minute to 2 hours. This is done with the arrow up or down buttons. The same arrow buttons are also used to choose the toast level and to adjust the temperature. The rotisserie is operated by an on/off toggle type switch.
The removable crumb tray can be washed in the dishwasher. To remove the tray, open the oven door and pull the tray towards you and all the way out.
This oven has a nice large view glass door. When one of the functions is on it has an on indicator light, and when any cooking cycle is done it sounds with 3 beeps. The baking pan with broiling rack and the complete rotisserie spit equipment is included.
A digital display screen shows the cooking time, the temperature, toasting level, and whether or not the convection function is turned on.
The one touch buttons are pre-programmed with cooking information.
- Bake button - preset to preheat and then cook at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
- Broil button - preset temperature of 450 degrees for 20 minutes
- Cookie button - preset at 350 degrees for 12 minutes
- Pizza button - preset at 400 degrees for 20 minutes
- Frozen Snacks - preset at 400 degrees for 6 minutes
- Potato button - preset at 400 degrees for 45 minutes
The convection function is for using only with the baking functions. It does not work with broiling or rotisserie.
There is a time allowance of 5 seconds between doing the settings. This means that once you choose one setting, you have 5 seconds to make the next choice. If this is not accomplished within the time, the oven reverts back to 0:00 and you will need to start over.
You can put the oven rack in 4 optional positions. There are 2 rack position choices inside the oven. Then, the rack itself can be put in in the down position or the up position.
Before first using the oven, there are 2 things that you need to do. First, before putting everything in the oven, wash it in soapy water. Then, run the oven empty for 15 minutes at at least 350 degrees. You will burn off any possible manufacturing residues so that your food doesn't get a bad flavor.
Cleaning is recommended after each use. Unplug the unit and let cool. The interior surface, rack and baking items can be cleaned in sudsy water with a nylon pad. The exterior can be wiped off with a damp soft cloth and a little soap if needed. Do not use window/glass cleaners.
English, Spanish, and French languages are included in the owner's manual. There are detailed instructions for using each of the function buttons and includes a few tips on some. A few simple recipes are included too.
It has a 1 year limited warranty. Weight is almost 20 lbs.
Applica Consumer Products owns the Black and Decker brand.
